The Island Herb Garden
In 2023 we started work on a new community project to establish a community Herb Garden on the island to help raise awareness of the important role of plants on our well being.
Newport Parish Council provided us with an allotment on the outskirts of Pan Community Park and our lovely volunteers have been busy clearing the area.
We have applied to Grow Wild for a grant to help purchase resources we need such as a shed, raised beds and items we need to run free workshops and volunteer opportunities for those on low income or experience of mental distress.
The intent is for more people to come together to further their knowledge about native herbs, herbs in general and herbal remedies.
Fingers crossed our application is a success.
